Welcome to Let Me Check. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Let Me Check app and website (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. What Let Me Check Does
Let Me Check is a marketplace that connects Seekers (who request a live short video of a place) with Scouts (independent people nearby who film that place). Let Me Check provides the platform; Scouts are independent contractors, not employees of Let Me Check.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Service. Scouts must complete identity and payout verification through our payments partner before earning.
3. Your Account
You are responsible for keeping your login secure and for activity on your account. Provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
4. Rules for Scouts
- Only film what a request asks for, at the correct location.
- Do not trespass, enter private areas without permission, or break any law to complete a check.
- Do not film in a way that harasses, endangers, or violates the rights of any person.
- Follow all local laws, including recording and consent laws. You are responsible for your conduct while filming.
- Clips must be genuine, filmed live for the request — no recycled or misleading footage.
5. Rules for Seekers
- Request checks only for lawful purposes.
- Do not use the Service to stalk, harass, surveil, or harm any person, or to target private individuals or private residences.
- Clips are a snapshot of a moment in time and are provided for information only.
6. Payments & Refunds
Seekers pay the price shown before confirming a check. Payments and Scout payouts are processed by Stripe. A hold may be placed on your payment method when you request a check and captured on delivery. If a check cannot be delivered, or a clip fails our quality or verification checks, you may be eligible for a refund under our in-app refund process. Refund requests are reviewed and are not guaranteed for every situation.
7. Prohibited Uses
You may not use the Service to break the law, infringe others' rights, invade privacy, harass or endanger anyone, or interfere with the Service's operation or security.
8. Content
Scouts grant Let Me Check and the requesting Seeker the rights needed to deliver and display clips through the Service. You are responsible for the content you create and must have the right to capture and share it.
9. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is." Clips reflect a single moment and conditions may change afterward. Let Me Check does not guarantee the accuracy, availability, or timeliness of any check, or that a Scout will always be available for a given location.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Let Me Check is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or misuse the Service. You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time.
12. Changes
We may update these Terms. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continued use means you accept the updated Terms.
